Job description
The Senior SQL Developer will be responsible for developing applications and integrations using the Microsoft SQL Server platform. This will include T-SQL development, ETL processes, reporting and other data related tasks. This position requires excellent communication, technical and project management skills
Candidates must show a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of software systems and applications, and the ability to effectively manage, grow and evolve Holonis Systems software solutions.
Our stack consists of .NET Framework, ASP.Net,C# and VB.Net, modern Javascript libraries on the front-end (jQuery, Backbone.js, hammer.js, headload.js, CSS3, HTML5), Social API's, OAUTH, REST/SOAP, Webservices, WCF, SVN for source control and SQLServer 2008R2 on the backend.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible of development and maintenance of Database systems
Create and maintain SQL Queries and perform analysis on them
Recommend developing new ETL processes and SSIS packages to meet business needs
Develop and maintain the Reporting server, while also generating Ad-hoc reporting for Business units and Management as required.
Create and maintain documentation for all projects
Communicate with Program Manager and appropriate business units as needed
Research new technologies and techniques
Take technical leadership for various projects as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Competencies:
7+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQLServer, currently working on SQLServer 2008 R2, 2012 is Plus
Strong database design and development experience for very large database applications
Expert with T-SQL Queries and analysis and Stored Procedures and Triggers
Strong Experience with SSIS; Design & Deploy
Strong Experience With SSRS; Design, Deploy & Automate
Experience with optimizing database design, analyzing data, queries & DDL
Able to tune Indexes and perform maintenance
Able to multi-task and manage multiple project/task assignments simultaneously
Able to work with SVN
Ability to manage an application through the entire development life cycle and to manage and account for time effectively
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently and as a team
Experience and Education:
7+ years of post-college experience or 10+ years of professional experience without degree
BS / MS in Computer science or equivalent a plus
