Database Administrator for AX
Play a key role as a Microsoft Dynamics AX technical expert and system administrator
Monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-end users.
Establish needs of users and monitor user access and security.
Maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, security and apply new patches and versions when required.
Define and build tools that automate monitoring and initiate corrective actions
Administer security by maintaining users and security roles within the ERP system
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document change
Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Work collaboratively with team members to troubleshoot and resolve ERP issues
Work with the Infrastructure team to size and tune the network and compute assets supporting the application
Work as the technical liaison to other application teams in the areas of integration, application development and analytics
Refine logical design to translated into specific data.
Monitor and maintain integrations including technical troubleshooting of APIs and source/target integration points
Support the end-user community to ensure database accuracy, integrity and cleanliness
Work with ERP team members to establish best-practice processes within company systems
Provide support in the evaluation, implementation and utilization of ERP third party add-on programs
Maintain knowledge of all current ERP features and releases
Competencies
Deep knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations operating environment.
Expert level experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012+ and tools used to monitor and troubleshoot database issues
Microsoft Windows Server 2014+
. net Development and JavaScript helpful but not required
Excellent communication skills verbal and written
Ability to work well independently as well as in collaborative group
Ability to work effectively with changing priorities in a dynamic environment
Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A strong work ethic and be personally accountable.
Hands on experience designing and building automated monitoring tools to identify possible issues so that they can be addressed before they become a problem
Ability to build reports using SQL
Experience with GRC and it’s application to business system applications
BS or Master's degree preferred in MIS or Computer Science along with a minimum of 2-8 years in database administration in a mid to large company
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
